  Not surprisingly, with the exception of first single “Anthem for the Year ,” Neon Ballroom is almost singularly informed by Johns’ psychological state. Despite these circumstances—and Johns’ admission that while writing the album he’d fallen out of love with music—he succeeded in creating a record that saw Silverchair start to carve out their own identity.

  In fact, if you remove "Anthem for the year " from the tracklist, you're left with an incredibly mature and sophisticated album, especially considering the band members were I think when they wrote this. I ordered the vinyl and enjoyed the experience of listening to this album through a different media besides streaming or CD/5().

  A song that Daniel Johns wrote as not only an Anthem for the upcoming year, (, this was written in 98') but for youth rebelling against the government; people who are more important than them.

  Silverchair's third full-length release is a confusing affair that reveals a band more talented than their critics realized and more confused than their fans could geitridefrasmaronilabiccithege.co Australian trio never made any secret of their respect for Nirvana, and on Neon Ballroom Silverchair does one of the best impersonations of their Seattle counterparts on record.
